Pietro Dagnino

Pietro Dagnino was born in Genoa on December 25, 1967.
After completing high school, he served in the Italian Coast Guard in 1994 and was commended for the courageous rescue of 21 people in the Adriatic Sea. In 1995, he joined a Genoa-based law firm specialising in maritime and transport law.
In 1996, he earned his law degree from the University of Genoa with a dissertation in Comparative Law titled “First-Demand Guarantees under Italian and German Law.”
He was admitted to the Bar in 1999 by the Genoa Court of Appeal. He also collaborated with the Chair of Comparative Legal Systems at the University of Genoa until December 2000.

In 2001, he joined Siccardi Bregante & C., where he specialises in marine insurance and claims. He has been a partner since 2013.
Pietro collaborates with the Milan Arbitration Chamber and the Arbitration Court for Yachting, where he is appointed as arbitrator. He is a member of the Italian Maritime Law Association and a contributor to Il Diritto Marittimo and other specialized journals.
He is also a member of the Genoa Propeller Club and the Elpis Rowing Club of Genoa (Società Canottieri Genovesi Elpis), and serves as a board member of the Italian Rowing Federation – Ligurian Committee for the 2024–2028 Olympic cycle.
